About Polo Events

Polo is often called "the sport of kings" and represents one of the oldest team sports in existence. Players on horseback use long-handled mallets to drive a small ball down a 300-yard field and through goal posts. Each team of four players rides multiple horses (called polo ponies) during a match, which is divided into periods called chukkers. The sport demands exceptional riding skills, hand-eye coordination, and strategic thinking, all performed at high speed.
